RELIGIOUS PHILOSOPHY AS A PHENOMENON OF THE ORTHODOX INTELLECTUAL TRADITION OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The article examines the phenomenon of religious philosophy in the context of spiritual-academic philosophy development in Russia in the XIX and early XX century. The author points to the importance of determining the philosophical origins of the Orthodox intellectual tradition, which is combined with the recognition of a strong theological component in spiritual-academic theism development. The paper substantiates the point of view concerning spiritual-academic philosophy belonging to the European philosophical theism tradition taking into account the confessional peculiarities of the Orthodox metaphysics of the XIX century. The study shows the influence of the philosophical school of theological academies on the Russian intellectual environment of the second half of the XIX century, in which university philosophical idealism developed thanks to Orthodox theism.
