IDENTITY ACQUISITION IN THE CONTEXT OF "ONE’S OWN PEOPLE - FOREIGNERS" DICHOTOMY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the peculiarities of identity acquisition in the conditions of "one’s own people - foreigners" choice. The content side of national identity is analysed at different stages of social development, the ideologeme "enemy" is correlated with the notion "foreigners". In the modern multidimensional world, primitivization of the notion "national identity" and its dual principles are demonstrated actively. The results of the analysis can be used in evaluating identity under the conditions of the in-group existence, determining the methods of influencing national identity formation, which allows tracing the tendencies to acquire identity at present.
