The use of multimedia presentations in teaching foreign language vocabulary in elementary school

Abstract. The proposed study aimed to theoretically confirm the possibility of using multimedia presentations in teaching foreign language vocabulary to primary school children. The paper considers the stages of formation of lexical skills and the types of exercises corresponding to them, defines the concept of multimedia educational presentation-visualization, highlights the criteria for the design of multimedia presentations for lessons in elementary school. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the developed algorithm for making presentations with exercises corresponding to the three stages of the formation of lexical skills, as well as selected multimedia functionality, which is advisable to use when creating presentations in elementary school. As a result of the conducted research, a series of multimedia presentations has been developed for the formation of foreign language lexical skills in primary school (for the 4th grade students).
