Technology of training future foreign language teachers on how to use the techniques for correcting students’ errors in foreign language oral speech (by the example of the German language)

Abstract. The study aims to substantiate the need to develop and implement the authors’ technology of training future foreign language teachers on how to use the techniques for correcting students’ errors in foreign language oral speech. The paper sheds light on the approaches of Russian and foreign methodology experts to the issue of error correction in the process of foreign language teaching. The scientific novelty of the study lies in developing an algorithm for correcting errors made by secondary school students in oral foreign language speech in German language teaching, which allows, taking into account the type of the error and the specific educational situation, to choose the subject, time, method and technique of correction. As a result, the technology of training future foreign language teachers on how to use this algorithm was presented, the techniques for correcting students’ errors in oral foreign language speech in German language teaching were determined.
