Teaching Marketing Translation to Students of Language Faculties

Abstract. The aim of the study is to substantiate the possibility and necessity of integrating work with marketing texts into the translation teaching program at universities in order to provide graduates with the skills that are in demand on the labour market. The article describes the practical experience of conducting classes on the translation of advertising texts, the procedure for working with translation, as well as the necessary tools for a translator. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the description of the process of teaching the marketing texts translation and the principles of selecting material for practical exercises. The necessity of teaching this direction is also substantiated, taking into account the changing requirements for specialists. The obtained results showed that updating the knowledge and skills of students in the field of marketing translation is possible by expanding the thematic content of translated texts, mastering digital technologies, and improving students’ computer literacy.
