Introduction of Cultural Component in the Process of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language on the Basis of Vocabulary Containing Evaluation of Person’s Appearance

Abstract. The aim of the study is a methodological description of the inclusion of cultural elements in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This article discusses the notion of culture and the need to take it into account in the aspect of co-learning with the language, as well as a way to include the cultural component in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the process of studying the vocabulary that contains evaluation of a person’s appearance. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of a system of exercises for teaching evaluative vocabulary to foreign students. As a result, the necessity of introducing the cultural component into the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language is substantiated; methodological recommendations for developing and consolidating new vocabulary, containing evaluation of a person’s appearance, as an element of introducing the cultural component in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language are presented.
