Professional Activity Practices of the Scientific and Teaching Community of the Baby Boomer Generation

Abstract. The purpose of the study is to identify characteristics and factors of identity formation in the scientific and teaching community of the Baby Boomer Generation in the context of professional activity areas. The paper examines daily practices in the professional activity of representatives of the scientific and teaching community belonging to the same generation designated in the theory of generations as "baby boomers". Scientific novelty consists in determining factors and conditions for identity formation in the scientific and teaching community of the Baby Boomer Generation, in creating and introducing into scientific use new sources. As a result of the study, similar practices of professional and non-professional activities in different areas of a teacher’s activity have been identified.
