Abstract. The article discusses a relevant problem of forming technical students’ communicative competence using active teaching methods. Formation of students’ communicative skills and abilities during a linguistic business game is described. The linguistic business game peculiarities, tasks and purposes are identified, methodological principles of organizing a linguistic business game are revealed. The paper provides methodological material to conduct the linguistic business game "Negotiations" that promotes formation of technical students’ communicative competence. The publication addresses the Russian language teachers and students specializing in the Russian language teaching methodology.
