GLOBAL SIMULATION TECHNOLOGY AS AN EFFECTIVE METHOD FOR LINGUO-SOCIOCULTURAL COMPETENCE FORMATION: HISTORY OF EMERGENCE, CONCEPT, STRUCTURE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF DEBYSER’S SIMULATION "RESIDENTIAL HOUSE")

Abstract. The article presents the history of the development of the global simulation technology, which arose in the 70s of the XX century in France. The definitions of the notions "game", "role-playing", "theatrical production", "simulation" are considered. Basing on the analysis of methodological literature and didactic projects of foreign schools, the paper defines the concept, structure and advantages of this technology in teaching basic and professional foreign language. The historical milestones of this method formation and its role in the development of foreign-language linguistic education are traced. The author presents the analysis of foreign experience of using this technology in the methodology of teaching foreign languages.
