Abstract. The article identifies psychological and pedagogical provisions for teaching English to schoolchildren by information and communication technologies. The study focuses on the necessity to form information culture of a schoolchild and foreign language teacher, to create authentic communicative situations promoting the development of foreign language communicative competence among the learners.
