PHILOSOPHICAL AND RELIGIOUS MEANING OF THE CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE OF HUMAN FREEDOM

Abstract. The article considers the relation of philosophical and Christian understanding of the problem of human freedom. The philosophical meaning of the Christian doctrine of freedom of will, its philosophical foundations and religious prerequisites are studied. The semantic unity of understanding and interpretation of the problem of human freedom in the modern philosophical and religious world outlook is revealed through a retrospective analysis, logical correlation and reflexive conjugation of such philosophical notions as "Absolute", "God", "man", "will", "freedom", "conscience", "love", "sacrifice" and their corresponding religious beliefs.
