GNOSEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF AUTOPOIESIS CONCEPTION BY H. MATURANA AND F. VARELA

Abstract. The article analyzes the gnoseological significance of the conception by H. Maturana and F. Varela. The basic characteristics of the notion "autopoiesis" are revealed. The structural analysis of the autopoiesic systems of four orders is conducted. Vertical connections between them, providing the commonness of structures, are ascertained. The specificity of the systems of different orders is represented as horizontal connections within them. The phenomenon of cognition and structural coupling are shown as two sides of the same process. The article substantiates the understanding of autopoiesis from the standpoint of onto-gnoseological approach.
