IDENTIFICATION OF COLOUR HIERARCHY OF STRUCTURED ARTISTIC SYSTEMS OF THE ITALIAN RENAISSANCE BY CLUSTER ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article reveals the authentic colour palette of the civil female and male costume and also the textile elements of the interior of Italy of the XV-XVI centuries according to chronological and regional criteria. On the basis of four-colour CMYK autotyping the author implements the encoding of the basic colour zones of the Renaissance costume and textile elements of the interior of various regions of Italy, such as: Tuscany, Venice, Papal States and Lombardy. By mathematical cluster analysis the researcher identified the colour hierarchy of the structured artistic systems of the Italian Renaissance. The visual-graphic interpretation of the findings is represented in the form of histograms.
