Abstract. The article reveals the methodological meaning of the notion "spirituality" in the sphere of philosophical and educational knowledge in the context of the transformation of the content, goals, social and cultural determination of educational process in informational society. The author pays special attention to the role of spirituality in the process of the personal reorientation of postmodern education and to the substantiation of the integrating role of the notion under consideration for determining the goals of educational activity.
