MORAL AND AESTHETIC DOMINANTS OF EDUCATION IN RUSSIA IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XVIII TH CENTURY

Abstract. The article examines the axiological potential of the Russian educational tradition of the age of Enlightenment. The revelation of the ethical and aesthetic value dominants of education allows the author to create the representation of human’s ideal, which great enlighteners described and tried to introduce into the Russian reality. The analysis of the philosophical and pedagogical conceptions of the Russian Enlightenment detects the axiological basis that contributed to the consolidation of the Russian society of the XVIII th century.
