ABSTRACT PAINTING IN EARLY XX TH CENTURY IN CONTEXT OF ESSENTIAL FEATURES OF CLASSICAL ART

Abstract. In the article the abstract painting of the early XX th century in the context of the criterial basics of classical art is analyzed. It’s first shown in the article that denying the traditional components of art (the basic principles: artistic image, mimesis, catharsis and others) abstract panting makes its own form-creative criteria as the result of its creative and project activity, which lie outside the scope of art and refer to design sphere.
