SIGNIFICANCE OF FOREIGN SCIENTIFIC PROBATION IN SYSTEM OF THE RUSSIAN PROFESSORS’ TRAINING IN DORPAT

Abstract. The article is devoted to the Professorial Institute - a phenomenon of the domestic pedagogics of higher school. The author presents her own definition of "scientific and pedagogical school" corresponding to the historical context of the XIX century. Basing on the analysis of archival sources the author identifies the significant aspects of scientific probation in the European universities of the XIX century as one of the stages in the Russian professors’ training. The reflection of the experience of domestic scientific and pedagogical schools formation is aimed at the preservation of scientific traditions.
