Abstract. The author considers the features of the solution of the problem of meaning (creation and understanding) in scientific communication, and reveals the origin (source) of meaning, the essence and features of the process of meaning formation and understanding. Process-oriented approach to meaning implies the absence of the original given of meaning, its coherence with communication, variative multiplicity. The idea of scientific communication meaning coherence allows determining the limits of meaning, revealing the principal possibilities of obtaining reliable answers.
