POLITICAL DISCOURSE: ANALYTICAL REVIEW OF THEORETICAL-METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES

Abstract. The study of political discourse is becoming extremely relevant in the conditions of modern information society. One of the main problems in discourse study is the absence of the systematic idea about the phenomenon and the methods of its study, as well as the conceptual unity in the notion definition. The author systemizes the main directions in political discourse studies, analyzes their historical foundation, the degree of influence on political discourse theory development, and emphasizes the tendencies of further development.
