Abstract. The author discusses one of Eisenstein's theatrical theories - mimic choirs - extra players on opera theatre stage, considering singing choir and not singing extras as the single significant component of performance, analyzes the prominent film director's position on the subject, and studies the practical application of method fundamental provisions.
