Features of the formation of modern stock exchange slang (based on the material of the English and Russian languages)

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationships between the form of slang expressions, their speech transformation and the emotional and evaluative component reflecting the speaker’s attitude to the behavior of participants in the exchange environment. The article describes typical methods of forming colloquial lexical phrases widely used by professionals in the securities market, established and transforming semantic groups, emotional coloring and expressiveness of slang. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the description of the classification of types of stock market companies based on slang expressions reflecting the scale, pace and prospects of development. As a result of the study, it was found that the expansion of the slang exchange lexicon is carried out by phonetic adaptation of English-language terms and semantic calculus of phraseological units, among which zoomorphemes and anthroponyms are particularly widespread due to their imagery and metaphor. Despite the fact that a significant proportion of informal expressions are borrowed from the English language, lexemes, while retaining semantic and expressive characteristics in translation, are successfully integrated into the morphological structure of the Russian language. The study was conducted on the material of English and Russian languages.
