A Literary Text in the Aspect of Linguoculturological Competence Formation among Philology Students When Teaching the Russian Language

Abstract. The study aims to consider ways of linguoculturological competence formation among philology students during classes in modern Russian in a multicultural educational space. Scientific novelty of the study lies in proposing a methodological system of working with a literary text during classes in modern Russian that is aimed at linguoculturological competence formation providing for the identification of universal and nation-specific features in a literary text. As a result of the study, the researchers have determined the need for a comprehensive analysis of nation-specific units of the language (Russian religious names, Turkisms-regionalisms) using cultural studies, historical-linguistic, etymological and linguoculturological commentaries and involving the material of an educational literary text. This will expand students’ cognitive base, i.e. the pool of knowledge about the peoples’ culture.
