Orthographic Peculiarities, Semantic Relations and Ways of Translating Composites of "Corona" Conceptual Sphere (by the Material of the German Language)

Abstract. Relying on a structural-semantic analysis, the paper identifies translation strategies to transfer the German "corona"-composites. The article covers the following issues: typology, morphological structure, orthographic diachrony of the German "corona" vocabulary and means to achieve translation adequacy. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors propose a structural-semantic classification of newly appeared "corona"-composites and identify the most appropriate translation techniques. The research findings are as follows: a semantic-syntactical classification of the German "corona"-composites is presented; types of translation transformations are distinguished.
