Grammatical Peculiarities of the German Phraseological Units as Indicator of Their Semantic and Structural Integrity

Abstract. The article examines phraseological units of the modern German language from the viewpoint of their grammatical peculiarities. The research objective includes identifying grammatical similarities and differences between phraseological units of different structural-semantic types. Scientific originality of the study involves a comprehensive grammatical analysis of different types of the German phraseological units; their grammatical peculiarities are considered as an additional indicator of their semantic and structural integrity. The research findings are as follows: the author suggests a general classification of the German phraseological units taking into account their basic grammatical characteristics. The proposed classification can be used for further studies on functional peculiarities of the German phraseological units.
