Concept ПСАЛЪЭ (WORD) in the Kabardian-Circassian Phraseology

Abstract. The article examines the concept ПСАЛЪЭ (WORD) in the context of the Kabardian-Circassian phraseology. The research objective is to identify specificity of the concept ПСАЛЪЭ functioning in set expressions of the Kabardian-Circassian language. The conducted analysis has allowed the authors to classify idiomatic expressions with the word ПСАЛЪЭ according to cultural, mental and ideological criteria. Scientific originality of the paper lies in the fact that the Circassian (Adyghe) culture and mentality are for the first time analysed by the example of phraseological units representing the concept ПСАЛЪЭ . The conclusion is made that idiomatic expressions with the word ПСАЛЪЭ can be classified into semantic groups according to their evaluative meaning.
