SPECIFICITY OF THE RUSSIAN NEWSPAPERS’ HEADLINES (BY THE MATERIAL OF PUBLICATIONS ABOUT CHINA)

Abstract. The article discusses newspaper headlines. Currently, a newspaper is a sensitive recorder of new words, their meanings, and a witness to unusual nominations appearance. The Russian-Chinese relations are under scrutiny in the media. The studies of the Chinese in the field of technology, space and military sphere are striking in their scale, which is represented in newspaper publications. Headlines about politics, trade, healing medicine and natural disasters in the PRC are on the front pages of newspapers. Language facts confirm that journalists willingly use the headline part as a short name for the object being described. Also headlines serve to attract a reader’s attention. Most of the units under consideration are designations of famous people. The second largest group is the group of headlines pointing to scientific achievements of China representatives.
