LANGUAGE TECHNIQUES OF COMMUNICATIVE ACCUSATION TACTICS REALISATION IN THE AMERICAN POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article deals with the language accusation tactics in the American political discourse. The author understands accusation as one of the speech methods of the communicative strategy "dealing for a fall" realisation, the purpose of which is to discredit the opponent. Negative metaphors, epithets and nominations, as well as pejoratives, dysphemisms, deictic constructions and rhetorical appeals, are singled out as linguistic accusation techniques. The author comes to the conclusion that the choice of one or another speech technique, in general, depends on the goals set by the communicant, as well as his/her moral and ethical attitudes.
