COMMUNICATIVE ACT AS A TOOL FOR STUDYING CATEGORIES IN THE LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article puts forward the thesis that the systemic unit of a "communicative act" can contribute to the identification and study of categories in the language. As a result of analyzing the explicit and implicit components of categorical communicative acts, for the first time in literature the authors reveal the three-stage structure of categoricity as an independent communicative category, which determines the novelty of this study. The basic level of categoricity is represented by the category of reliability, the defining level - by the category of confidence and the variable level - by the categories of evaluation, emotiveness and politeness.
