STUDY OF TOPONYMS AT THE FRENCH LESSONS AS A WAY OF FORMATION OF LINGUISTIC-CULTURAL COMPETENCE

Abstract. The solution of the problem of linguistic-cultural competence formation requires the constant search for new methods of teaching and forms of work organization at the lesson from the teacher. As one of the best means, not excluding others, one can use such lexical-semantic group as toponyms. The creation of didactic materials, based on the work with toponyms, as well as the work with authentic documents containing toponyms, at the lessons of the French language has positive effect on the entire teaching process and makes it possible to speak about the improvement of the effectiveness of the work on the formation of linguistic-cultural competence.
