Abstract. The article is devoted to the topical problem of correlation of a language and thinking within the framework of modern interdis-ciplinary psycholinguistic approaches to speech activity. The process of functioning of mechanisms of speech activity with an emphasis on the expression of the formed thought in the process of communication is described. The author proposes a method for replacing internal natural forms of thought expression in a foreign language with an equivalent external functional speech model as a way of overcoming speech insufficiency typical of master’s degree students studying on business programs, world trade, marketing, etc. Thanks to the use of a functional speech model, which is a concentrated bunch of a semantic interpretation of this or that topic, the speaker’s speech acquires the necessary speed, quality and speech freedom. The proposed thematic range covers issues close to the business environment of professional employment of entrants to the master’s programs, and corresponds to the personal orientation of students for demand in the market of intellectual labor.
