PECULIARITIES OF USING THE INFINITIVE IN MEDICATION INSTRUCTIONS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES)

Abstract. The article attempts to analyse the features of the infinitive functioning, taking into account the specificity of its morphological forms and syntactic functions by the material of medication instructions, to identify similarities and differences of its functioning in the English and Russian languages with regard to the features of the infinitive essence, its verbal and nominal characteristics. The authors also draw attention to the specificity of using the infinitive, similarities and differences of its use in medications application instructions and medical job descriptions by the material of the English and Russian languages.
