ITERATIVITY SEMANTICS IN THE STRUCTURE OF CONTINUOUS ACTION IN THE RUSSIAN, FRENCH AND TATAR LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article describes the results of the comparative study of iterativity semantics and the means to express it in the Russian, French and Tatar languages. Iterativity meaning is a semantic constant, it correlates with the meaning of continuous action. Predicative-adjunctive complexes come out as a key linguistic means of realization in all three languages. Iterative-continuous action is realized through the contexts with the semantics of frequency created, apart from the verb, by different actants.
