COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTIC OF QUANTITATIVE NUMERALS IN THE GERMAN AND KARACHAY-BALKAR LANGUAGES

Abstract. In the article the numerals of German and Karachay-Balkar are compared for the first time, the description of their formation, classification, and use is given, their status is clarified as there is a disagreement in the opinions about the attribution of numerals to parts of speech among some authors, especially the German Germanists. It is stated that, unlike in the German language, numerals in the Karachay-Balkar language do not agree with the noun, but adjoin it.
