Abstract. The article examines the basic characteristics of emotional information and the ways to represent it in the text, analyzes linguo-stylistic peculiarities of publicistic texts, and considers the means to preserve emotional information when translating publicistic texts as well as translation techniques relevant to preserve emotional information when translating from English into Russian.
