THE SPECIFICITY OF TERMS TRANSLATION FROM ENGLISH INTO RUSSIAN IN THE SPHERE OF METALLURGY AND WELDING FABRICATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of lexical transformations when translating the special terminology from English into Russian by the example of texts in the sphere of metallurgy and welding fabrication. In the work such translation challenges as polysemy of terms, non-coincidence of the semantic structure of words, absence of exact equivalents are touched upon. As a result of the analysis of parallel texts, the most frequent lexical transformations are identified, they are calquing, functional analogue, and complete copying of the foreign term.
