Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of using the regional studies information in the educational space. The authors propose to identify the pedagogical potential of the regional studies material and to reveal the spectrum of pedagogical possibilities of using the regional studies information for the realization of specific tasks in the teaching and educational process in a general education institution. The study of people’s landscape and place of development allows understanding more deeply and broadly the national and regional peculiarities of the Russian people’s culture.
