THE ORGANIZATION OF HOME READING OF E. M. REMARQUE’S NOVEL "ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT" IN TEACHING THE GERMAN LANGUAGE TO FUTURE BACHELORS IN LINGUISTICS

Abstract. In the article the didactic potential of literary texts in teaching German as the first foreign language in a linguistic higher education establishment is analyzed. The process of organizing home reading of E. M. Remarque’s novel "All Quiet on the Western Front" is described. Various types of exercises that contribute to the development of linguistic and linguocultural competencies of students are proposed.
