THE SPECIFICITY OF TEACHING TRANSLATION LISTENING TO FUTURE INTERPRETERS

Abstract. The article deals with the issue of formation of the translation listening competence on the basis of a video discourse as a corpus of didactically organized authentic video materials for training interpreters according to the bachelor’s program of the specialty "Linguistics". The specificity of translation listening is grounded. The authors present the typology of the system of exercises and practical tasks under development. This system is conditioned by the peculiarities of the translation listening and it assumes a step-by-step formation of the translation listening competence.
