THE DIFFERENCES IN REALIZATION OF CONJUNCTION CONNECTION IN THE ARABIC AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article presents the analysis of the functions of conjunctions "and", "but" in the Russian and Arabic languages. The comparative aspect of the analysis allows determining similarities and differences in the function and meaning of conjunctions. Polysemantic meaning of conjunctions in both languages conditions a variety of conjunction connections in sentences. The reference to the syntactic system of Arabic traditional grammar is associated with the identification of the characteristic features of an independent sentence. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of translation of constructions and sentences containing these conjunctions from Arabic into Russian. Examples are given to illustrate the functions of the conjunction connection in sentences.
