THE WAYS OF ANTHROPONYMS TRANSLATION FROM ENGLISH INTO GERMAN AND RUSSIAN

Abstract. This article discusses the question of anthroponyms adequate translation for the most accurate transmission of the author’s idea by the example of the names of some characters of J. Rowling’s book "Harry Potter". The novelty of the paper consists in the fact that the author suggests possible interpretations of unrealistic anthroponyms. The author argues that in anthroponyms translation it is very important and necessary to give explanations or comments, otherwise the meaning of the name is not fully transferred.
