STRUCTURAL-SEMANTIC FEATURES OF BUSINESS LETTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA: UNIVERSAL AND CULTURE-BOUND

Abstract. The article reveals the structural-semantic features of written business communication of the Republic of Korea, for which it is typical to follow Confucian principles of the world order and interpersonal communication. The marked features are extrapolated to the field of business cooperation in order to identify a universal and culture-bound nature of units under study, thus expanding the understanding of the essential characteristics of the business correspondence in the Republic of Korea and enabling to identify the characteristics of this sphere of communication in the aspect of national identity.
