FOREIGN LOAN WORDS IN THE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL TERMINOLOGY OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article deals with scientific and technical terms of the Russian language, borrowed from foreign languages. The work gives a brief history of the introduction of foreign loan words into the Russian language, the morphological features of their assimilation in the Russian language and also presents their groups on lexical and semantic characteristics. The author comes to the conclusion that the embedding of foreign loan words into Russian has become the main factor of replenishment and further development of the scientific and technical terminology of the Russian language.
