DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS OF CROSS-CULTURAL BUSINESS COMMUNICATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

Abstract. The article deals with the development of skills of cross-cultural business communication in the preparation of master’s degree students of the Russian technical university for international projects with the European Union within the framework of foreign languages. The documents on the status of the European Union languages and sociological surveys of citizens’ attitude towards it are studied. The Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education are analyzed in the directions of engineering master’s degree programme. The authors give recommendations on changing the content of the foreign language course in the master’s degree programme.
