METHODS OF ENGLISH-LANGUAGE MEDIA TEXT TRANSLATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE ARTICLE "TSAR HARRY!" IN "DAILY MAIL")

Abstract. The article presents a general characteristic of a media text. Its features, tasks and functions are listed. The concepts "text" and "media text" are compared. The most promising methods and techniques used in translating the media text are presented. The features of translation transformations are considered on the basis of the translation of the article "Tsar Harry!" in "Daily Mail". The patterns that provide an adequate translation of the media text from English into Russian are determined.
