ADOPTION OF BORROWED WORDS IN THE RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE AND CHINESE-LANGUAGE INTERNET

Abstract. The article examines specific adoption and development of borrowed words in the Russian-language and Chinese-language Internet space, analyzes similarities and differences in the adoption of borrowed words in the Russian and Chinese languages in the Internet. The author concludes that both in the Russian and Chinese Internet borrowed words are adapted not only according to existing assimilation techniques but also using new possibilities (abbreviations, errative and sound-alike spellings of borrowed words).
