Abstract. The article deals with Robert Frost’s experiments in the field of poetic language. The study is limited to an analysis of the passive vocabulary, lexical and syntactic stylistic means, which show the improvement of the author’s poetic style and his philosophical conceptions. On the basis of these results it is concluded about the high imagery and expressivity of Frost’s texts, despite the fact that his poetic vocabulary is close to colloquial one and the use of tropes, figures of speech is minimized.
