LEXICAL TRANSFORMATIONS WHILE TRANSLATING PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION TECHNIQUES FROM ENGLISH INTO RUSSIAN

Abstract. The article examines the specifics of translating from English into Russian the psychological techniques of manipulative verbal influence which are used to achieve success in the situations of socially valuable interaction. The special attention is paid to analyzing the lexical translator’s transformations which allow to achieve maximum equivalence and to preserve the original manipulation effect while translating the mentioned psychological techniques.
