CULTURAL DIMENSION OF TRANSLATION (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE TRANSLATION OF THE NOVEL "THE MASTER AND MARGARITA")

Abstract. The paper considers the culture-forming function of translation, which is of particular importance in solving the problem of a foreign language reception of the text by the host culture. The methodological basis is the conception of translation space. The purpose of the article is the identification of the role of translation time and temporal meanings in the translation of literary texts. The result of the study is the substantiation of the assumption that a successful transposition of temporal culturological meanings in the translation space leads to the qualitative harmonious translation, and the translator becomes an elite linguistic personality.
