SEMANTIC AND ETHNOCULTURAL SPECIFICS OF THE ADDRESS СИ КЪУЭШ / "BROTHER" (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE SPEECH OF THE CIRCASSIAN DIASPORA ABROAD AND KABARDINO-CIRCASSIAN LANGUAGE IN RUSSIA)

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the address "си къуэш" / "brother" by the example of the speech of the Circassian diaspora abroad and Kabardino-Circassian language in Russia. The author points out that, in spite of the semantic and ethnocultural similarities, the minor transformation is observed in the Kabardino-Circassian language under the influence of the Russian language. The paper concludes that nowadays in the speech of the Circassian diaspora and in the Kabardino-Circassian language on the ancestral lands the address "си къуэш" / "brother" is used concerning not only the relative but also the unfamiliar interlocutors to express respect, esteem.
