POLITICAL EUPHEMISMS IN MASS MEDIA (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE AMERICAN AND TURKISH PRINTED EDITIONS OF THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY)

Abstract. The article examines the problem of political euphemism by the material of the trustworthy American and Turkish printed editions of the beginning of the XXI century. The objective of the paper is to investigate approaches to the notion definition of "euphemism" in the studies of the Russian and Western linguists, and also the authors conduct the analysis of classifications and functional peculiarities of political euphemisms. The paper presents the results of the research, being the evidence of a wide use of political euphemisms in the language of contemporary American printed editions of the beginning of the XXI century in contrast with similar Turkish language editions.
